Who I am

This site belongs to Mahmoud Al-Habash, a software engineer in Amman, Jordan. I decide what is collected here and why. For anything about your data, email admin@mahmoudalhabash.com.

What I collect

When you send a project brief: what you write in it (your project, budget and timeline, name, email, and the company, phone and links you choose to add), the language you used, and, for security, your IP address and browser.

When you work with me as a client: the email addresses of the people who sign in to your project page, and what we share there (updates, comments, approvals and files).

Visits to the site are counted with GoatCounter, which I host myself. It uses no cookies, never stores your IP address, and keeps only the page, the referring site, the country, and the browser and screen size.

Why

To reply to your brief and prepare a plan and a quote, to run the projects we agree on, and to keep the site and your data secure (for example, to stop spam and misuse). I never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Where it is kept, and who helps

Everything is stored on my own server at Hetzner in Germany. Emails go through my email provider, Hostinger. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a brief comes from a person, not a bot.

How long

A brief that doesn't become a project is deleted 12 months after I receive it. Project data is kept for as long as the project and its support last, and then as long as the law requires.

Cookies

The public site sets no cookies. Signing in to your project page sets one cookie, only to keep you signed in.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of your data, or ask me to correct it or delete it, by emailing admin@mahmoudalhabash.com. I reply within 30 days. These rights follow Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law (No. 24 of 2023).
